The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from High Schools and Colleges all over India. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the Country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. NCC Course has been introduced as a part of the extension activity of Midnapore College since July 2015 with the inspiration of College Authority. So, NCC Unit of the College started its journey from 2015 with intake capacity of 80 Cadets under the command of 45 Bengal BN. Dr. Giridhari Panda, Assistant Prof. of Sanskrit has been appointed as Associate NCC Officer (ANO I/C ) to take responsibility and manage administrative responsibility of NCC Unit of this College. Sri Shankarananda Seth, Laboratory Attendant, Department of Chemistry has also been appointed as Office Assistant to support in Office work.

1st Year – 13 (A –Certificate Examination)
2nd Year – 46 (A –Certificate Examination)
3rd Year – 23 (C –Certificate Examination)
Activities :
Various Camps have been organized for the Cadets by the 45 Bengal BN. NCC. Our Cadets successfully participated in various National/Regional Camps organized by NCC Directorate/other Regional Directorate /Battalion.
Besides that Cadets of our NCC Unit have participated in various programs like AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAVA-FIT INDIA freedom Run, Swachha Bharat Abhiyan. Our Unit has also celebrated Various remember-able Days like International Yoga Day on 21st June 2021 through ect. online due to Covid-19 Situation .
It is also memorable that this year 73rd NCC Day has celebrated in our College on 28.11.2021 by 45 BN NCC. Respected Commanding Officer, Respected Group Commanding Officer from Kharagpur Group HQ have joined in this program. Various Cultural programmes have been organized and Cadets of Midnapore College, Belda College, Narajol College and other Schools and Colleges under 45 BN have participated in Cultural programmes under.
Our cadets achieve best result year after year, not only in state level but also in national level SUO Pratyush Chowdhury of our College was selected for Republic Day Camp at New Delhi. It’s a matter of immense pride and honor as he represented our College at national level. For his exemplary performance in his NCC tenure, he was honored with Director Generals Commendation Card and Director Generals Citation by the Director General Lt. Gen. Rajeev Chopra at New Delhi.
Battalion Quiz Competition : Our cadet has also excelled in Cadet Welfare Society Scholarship Exam.SUOPratyush Chowdhury from our College achieved 1st position in CWS Scholarship Exam and was awarded with scholarship. NCC of our College has moulded up our cadets for the cause of nation, JUO Pralay Ghosh of our college got selected in Indian Army and now guarding the nation with pride and honor.
