Message to the Students

We strongly encourage all students to avail themselves of this opportunity and complete their registration with DigilockerNAD. By enrolling with DigilockerNAD, students may conveniently retrieve their academic records and certificates from any location and at any time without encountering any difficulties. Moreover, this platform facilitates the seamless sharing of academic records with prospective employers and other institutions, streamlining the process for students.

In accordance with academic regulations, students are required to provide their ABC-ID while completing the examination forms for the academic session 2023-2024. This requirement applies to all semester students. The inclusion of students’ ABC-ID should also be seen on the admit card and marksheets that will be distributed to them for the upcoming university examinations.

About National Academic Depository (NAD)

According to the National Education Policy 2020, the implementation of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) aims to enhance the academic mobility of students by providing them the opportunity to pursue their studies across various higher education institutions in the country. This is made possible through the establishment of a credit transfer mechanism, which allows students to transfer their earned credits from one program to another. Ultimately, this system enables students to obtain a Degree, Diploma, PG-diploma, or similar qualifications. The academic institutions will deposit the credits earned by students into the students’ ABC ‘Academic Account’. In the event that a student decides to transfer to another educational institution, it is customary for the accrued credits to be transferred and credited to the student’s account at the new university. Please navigate to the ABC Portal.

Benefits of ABC

  • Simple credit transfers via digital mode
  • Quicker acknowledgment of credit
  • Keeps student credit secrecy and authenticity intact
  • Maintains student credit for a minimum of seven years.
  • Transfer credit via a single window once the academic institutions at the source and destination have approved it.
