The Department of Mathematics, Midnapore College was established in the year 1926 before India’s independence. Since then many meritorious students have made their bright career from this College. Many of them have been engaged as Teaching faculties throughout India and abroad. The recent trends explore that the department has organized Re-union celebration in a regular basis with the participation of the meritorious Alumni. The glorious history of the Department has been enlightened by the minute observation and valuable comment- “Lead Department of the College”- during the NAAC visit 2011. In its continuation, the Department kept a remarkable destination of the Mathematics lovers’ pupils.
