Editorial Policy:
To publish in AJHSS, a paper must be real merit that represents a clear and insightful exposition of significant aspects of contemporary research in Multidisciplinary Subjects. The manuscript must be an original research work that has neither appeared in nor is under review by another journal. The manuscript will be reviewed by two independent referrers to be decided by the Editors/ Editorial Board.
Frequency – Our journal is annually published, once a year collectively. Again individual issues can be published as soon as they are ready. Individual issues are devoted to specific themes, proposed by guest editors, and designed to attract cutting-edge research from across and between the disciplines in academia. The language of publication is Multiple Languages. Themes should, therefore, be designed to invite as broad a range of interpretations as possible. A substantial book review section keeps readers informed about new publications in the field, and the Call for papers is generally notified through all accessible mediums (Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, International platform of call for paper) and through our website well in advance.

Guidelines for Submission of manuscripts to AJHSS
- Advanced Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences(AJHSS)), a journal of Midnapore College (Autonomous) accepts original texts which may contribute to advancing multidisciplinary research on national and international social reality, to promote reflection of and discussion on research instruments and methods, and to disseminate information and knowledge within the academic circle of social science and the humanities disciplines.
Guidelines on the Publication Ethics based on the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors of the Committee on the Publication Ethics (COPE) (available at http://publicationethics.org/) are followed herewith.
- AJHSS publishes issues edited by the Editorial Board (non-thematic issues).
- The Call for papers is generally notified through all accessible mediums (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter) and through our College Website well in advance.
- The manuscripts submitted to AJHSS must be unpublished and authored by the person(s) submitting them. Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour are unacceptable. The manuscripts must clearly identify the source of every item that is not original (e.g. text excerpts, illustrations, tables, etc.), and make explicit reference, whenever necessary, to permissions obtained from copyright holders and/or authors. In the latter case, if the manuscripts include items protected by intellectual property rights, authors are responsible for obtaining permission from copyright holders.
- Submission of a paper to AJHSS is a certification by the author(s) that the manuscript has not been otherwise published (in print or digital format, in any language), or submitted at the same time to any other publication.
- Manuscripts will be submitted only in English except language subjects (Bengali Sanskrit and Hindi).
- There will be no submission, processing or publication fees.
- Authors submitting their works to AJHSS for publication as original articles confirm that the submitted articles/papers represent their own contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works without clearly citing the source. All the papers go through a plagiarism detection software (Turnitin). Although the AJHSS editorial policy is to publish original manuscripts, the Editorial Board may decide in exceptional cases to publish a previously published text, based on criteria of scholarly and intellectual relevance and opportuneness after taking prior permission from the author/s or copyright holder/s. In that case, the manuscript will only be published with an authorization from the owner(s) of the intellectual property rights/copyright holders.
- The corresponding author with the journal requires to ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included in the author list of the manuscript, and that there is a full consensus of all co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication.
- When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editors and cooperate with them to retract or correct the manuscript.
- The Editorial Board reserves the right to publish or reject manuscripts, and informs the authors of its decision within a reasonable time frame. This decision is supported by an evaluation of the manuscripts based on a blind peer-review system, carried out in two consecutive stages:
a) Initial assessment by the Editorial Board, which decides on the manuscript’s submission to the following stage of the process, involving its evaluation by anonymous reviewers; this decision is made taking into consideration criteria of relevance, interest and quality, defined according to the journal’s editorial policy, as well as the manuscript’s conformity to the submission guidelines contained in this document.
b) Detailed evaluation of the selected manuscripts by anonymous reviewers through a double-blind peer review system. Reviews resulting of this process will be used as a basis for the final decision on the manuscript’s publication. - The Editorial Board may suggest revisions to authors, according to the recommendations made by the reviewers, and ask for a new evaluation of the revised paper in order to make the final decision on its publication.
- In the case of manuscripts submitted to the second stage of evaluation, if they are not accepted for publication, AJHSS will inform the authors of the reasons for this decision, generally attaching the reviewers’ opinions and sending them to the authors.
