List of Recipients of Different Endowments in every year

Endowments Received to Award Scholarship to Students out of the Annual Bank Interest of the Endowment Amount :

  1.  Late Amulya Bhusan Sen Endowment Scholarship instituted by Smt. Santa Dasgupta, daughter of Late Amulya Bhusan Sen in 1996 for students securing highest marks in History Hons. in Part – II Exam. (Amount of endowment Rs.10,000.00)
  2.  Dr. Purnendu Kumar Ghosh Endowment Scholarship instituted by Dr. Purnendu Kumar Ghosh himself in 2005 for students securing highest marks in Botany Hons., Physics Hons. and English Hons. in Part -I Exam. (Amount of endowment Rs. 1,00,000.00)
  3.  Haimabati – Kenaram Tripathi Endowment Scholarship instituted by Sri Gangapada Tripathi, son of Haimabati – Kenaram Tripathi in 2006 for Topper in Taxonomy, B.Sc Honours instead of Biological Science (General) in Part – II Exam. (Amount of endowment Rs. 5,500.00) from 2021as BSc General Course has been stopped
  4.  Late B.D. Banerjee Memorial Endowment Scholarship instituted by Sri Shankar Mukhopadhyay, an ex-student and grandson of Late B.D. Banerjee, Ex-Principal of Midnapore College in 2005 for poor and meritorious students (Amount of endowment Rs. 6,50,000.00)
  5.  Late Pragati Mukherjee Memorial Scholarship instituted by Sri Saroj Kr. Mukherjee and Smt. Meera Mukherjee in 2007 in memory of their daughter, Late Pragati Mukherjee, an alumnus who achieved academic excellence in many fields, for students of Physics (Hons.) securing highest marks in the University Final Examination (Part – II/Part – III) (Amount of endowment Rs. 50,000.00/-).
  6.  Dr. Saptadip Samanta, an alumnus and Teacher of this College in the Dept. of Physiology, donated Rs. 20,000/- in 2012 for a student either of Zoology or Botany or Physiology securing highest average marks from this College under Vidyasagar University, or if two or more candidates obtain same marks in same subject, both or all candidates will be awarded silver medal inscribed as “SANAT KUMAR SAMANTA SMRITI SILVER MEDAL” in memory of his father Late Sanat Kumar Samanta.
  7.  Sri Shyama Pada Ghosh, Laboratory Instructor of the Dept. of Botany of this College, donated a sum of Rs- 50,000/- (Fifty thousand only) towards cash prize in the title of “Lt Subodh Chandra Ghosh Smriti Puraskar” to the highest scorer in the PG Dept. of Botany
  8.  Dr. Purnendu Kumar Ghosh, former Teacher-in-Charge & H.O.D, Department of Botany, Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs. 2,00,000.00 (Rupees Two Lakh) only as an endowment fund entitled “ Travel Award ” for allowing the students to attend the Indian Science Congress.
  9.  Sri Shankar Mukhopadhyay, an ex-student and grandson of Late B.D. Banerjee, Ex-Principal of Midnapore College has donated an amount of Rs. 10,50,000.00/- (Rupees Ten Lakh and fifty thousand only) in 2021 for giving endowment scholarship to poor and meritorious students of the College. 
  10.  Dr. Sampa Chatterjee, Associate Professor of Philosophy donated a sum ofRs. 20,0001- on 24.12.20 14 as an endowment fund to institute “Lakshmi Narayan Chatterjee Memorial Award” in memory of her father Late Lakshmi Narayan Chatterjee for the highest scorer in the Final Year 1 Semester, B.A. Philosophy Hons.
  11.  Prof. Sukumar Maiti, an alumnus of this College and Retired Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur donated a sum ofRs. 1,10,000/- on 21.07.14
    as an endowment fund to institute “Rajanikanta Maiti Memorial Award” in memory of his father Late Rajanikanta Maiti for a student standing first in the Final Year Semester of B.Sc., Chemistry (Hons.)
  12.  Prof. Subhas Chandra Santra, Senior Professor, Department of Environmental Science, University of Kalayani and an Alumnus of this College donated a sum of Rs- 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand Only) to form an endowment fund in memory of his father, Late Bijoy Krishna Santra to award silver medal out of the annual bank interest to a student standing first class first considering all PG courses taken together.

Endowments Received to Award Gold Centred & Silver Medals to Students out of the Annual Bank Interest of the Endowment Amount in the 3rd Convocation- 2020 :

  1.  Dr. Purnendu Kumar Ghosh, Former Teacher in Charge & H.O.D, Department of Botany, Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.40,000.00 (Rupees Forty Thousand) only towards Silver Medal to a student holding 2nd Rank in UG (Botany) on this College entitled “Late Jadumoni Ghosh Memorial Silver Medal”.
  2.  Prof. Satya Ranjan Ghosh, Associate Professor &H.O.D, Department of History, Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.70,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to the highest Scorer in P.G. History of this College entitled “ Kalipada Ghosh and Amodini Ghosh Memorial Award”.
  3.  Smt. Basanti Bera, former Teacher, Mission Girls’ High School, Midnapore donated a sum of Rs. 70,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) in honour of her husband Dr. Gopal Chandra Bera, Principal, Midnapore College , winning Siksharatna Award from Govt. of West Bengal, 2018. towards the 1stRank Holder of U.G. Physics Hons of this College entitled “ Siksharatna 2018 Commemoration Award”.
  4.  Prof. Agam Prasad Ray, former Associate Professor, Department of Botany, Midnapore College (Autonomous) donated a sum of Rs. 70,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only towards the 1st Rank Holder of P.G. Botany of our College entitled “ Jogmaya Ray Smriti Medal”.
  5.  Sri Shyamalendu Ghosh, Laboratory Instructor, Department of Zoology, Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.40,000.00 (Rupees Forty Thousand) only towards Silver Medal to a student holding 2nd Rank in UG (Zoology) of this College entitled “Bimala Bala Ghosh Memorial Award”.
  6.  Dr. Aparnita Bhattacharjee , Associate Professor & Co- Ordinator, PG, Department of History, Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.40,000.00 (Rupees Forty Thousand) only towards Silver Medal to a student holding 2nd Rank in UG (History) on this College entitled “Lt. Sudhindra Chandra Bhattacharjee & Umarani BhattacharjeeMemorial Medal”
  7.  Sri. Kartick Chakraborty, an Alumnus of Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.75,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to a student holding 1st Rank in PG (English) of this College entitled “Dr. Dipa Bhattacharya Memorial Award”.
  8.  Dr. Sampa Chatterjee, Associate Professor , Department of Philosophy, Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.70,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to a student holding 1st
    Rank in UG (Philosophy) of this College entitled “Lakshmi Narayan Chatterjee Memorial Award”.
  9.  Prof. Mukul Ranjan Roy, Former Principal & Alumnus of Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.70,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to a student holding 1st Rank in PG (Sanskrit) of this College entitled “Pratima Roy Memorial Medal”.
  10.  Smt. Ila Pal, Laboratory Instructor, Department of Botany, Midnapore College donated a sum Rs. 75,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand) only towards Gold Medal entitled “ Dr. Pramatha Nath Pal Smriti Puraskar” to the highest Scorer in the Final Semester of U. G. Computer Science Hons.
  11.  Prof. Biswanath De, Former HOD, Department of History & an Alumnus of Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.70,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to a student holding 1st Rank in UG (History) of this College entitled “Bibhuti Bhusan-Satadal Smriti Puraskar”
  12.  Dr. Sudhir Chandra Pal, Former HOD, Department of Chemistry & Alumnus of Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.75,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to a student holding 1st Rank in PG (Chemistry) of this College entitled “Champaki Pal Medal”.
  13.  Dr. Saleha Khatun, Associate Professor, Department of Bengali of Midnapore College donated a sum of Rs.75,000.00 (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand) only towards Gold Medal to a student holding 1st Rank in PG (Bengali) of this College entitled “Sk. Abdul Wadud Smriti Puraskar” in memory of her father Late Sk. Abdul Wadud from the year 2021.
